Founded in 2004, the association has a history of managing visual artists and the Maloya Métiss Company, which led to the creation of the musical group Tramay.
Maloy'arts 974 is an artist collective that leverages the group Tramay for its creative and cultural outreach projects.
Led by its principal artists, Flo & David, the association promotes the artistic heritage of La Réunion and the Indian Ocean through cross-disciplinary projects and knowledge transmission initiatives.
With our strong understanding of this heritage and a high degree of adaptability, we offer cultural programs directly linked to Tramay's creative work.
Building on our experience with international projects—like our ongoing collaboration with Indian artists—we're excited to expand our horizons with new European and international partnerships.
Values
Because every talent deserves to be recognized and legally protected, our rates guarantee that everyone is fully declared and fairly compensated. We are committed to sustainable cultural employment, based on experience and strict compliance with professional industry standards.
Welcome
We invite you to our unique headquarters in Saint-Pierre, a place that feels like a family home. This is where we hold classes and workshops, and host events like concerts and shows.
Step into our home! You're truly at an artist's place, a living space that embraces you. We're nestled in an old Creole "kaz" with a beautiful courtyard, lovingly crafted from what we have—including a gazebo we built ourselves.
That's it! Come share a cup of herbal tea, join a Maloya, music, or Kalari workshop, dive into dance or Moring workshops, or simply enjoy a performance, concert, or a shared meal.
Our door is always open to students, artists, friends, and family.
A huge thank you to all our students, artists, friends, families, and members!
